Summer is almost here in Wisconsin. We’ve been teased and teased again with a little bit of sunshine and warm weather, but I think it almost here to stay!
When it comes to getting the kids ready for summer, there are a few summer items that I truly think are must haves! Time to get pool ready.
Rash guards are a must have at our house. My kids live in their swimsuits during the summer months, so I want to have some good quality suits in hand. This boy’s rash guard fits well and is priced perfectly!
I am loving the girl’s rash guard swimming suit. I always like the long sleeve version for my kids, less sun screen and the two piece helps with quick bathroom breaks. So cute!
I always snag closed toe sandals for my kids. They are so busy all the time running around, riding bikes, scooters, and skateboarding I want their toes and feet to be safe. These ones wash up well, are super cute and come in several colors.
We have and LOVE this sprinkler . It is so fun. The tubes flail around and spray water in all directions. This will be the third summer we’ve had the sprinkler and it’s still going strong.
Sun hats are so important! My girls have been asking for one just like mama’s.
This hat is so adorable! It comes in a variety of colors and sayings. I love this multicolor one. It will look great with their new swim suits! It has an adjustable sizing string and a neck strap; which is a great feature. Loving this hat!
My beach bum babies are total towel snobs! They love hooded towels. These ones are the best because they have a snap to hold them in place; genius feature! They also come in a variety of patterns and even styles. I also love the slip over the head towels. They are perfect for littler kids Grace’s age.
I my opinion, a Puddle Jumper is the ultimate must have! We use ours all the time. I like this Body Glove version with the straps over the shoulders. I feel like it adds extra support. Puddle Jumpers are not coast guard approved for boating, but are perfect for pool and beach days. They do not pull your child to his/her back like a life vest. Rather, they are more of a swim support. The Puddle Jumper helps your child to float in a swimming position and are not meant as lifesaving tools. They are swimming aids. I’ve used these with my kids for years. As soon as they are 20 lbs and able to float, kick and pull with their arms, we use the puddle jumper.
☀️☀️☀️ As always, water safety requires parents to be in the water and eyes on swimmers at all time!
