I don’t know about you guys, but cleaning is not my thang! Don’t get me wrong, I love a clean house, but the act of cleaning is so daunting.
During my first trimester with this sweet little baby, I was so sick. Honestly, cleaning and laundry did not happen for weeks. Literally weeks!!! I am finally getting caught up and I’m about 1/4 of the way through my second trimester.
Here are a few of my favorite floor cleaning tools to get the job done.
The Roomba Robot Vac is by far one of my favorite cleaning tools. We’ve had ours for over 5 years and I still love it as much as I did when we first got it, maybe even more. It is fabulous for picking up pet hair and crumbs. This one connects to your Alexa or if you’d rather have a more simple version this one is a regular Roomba like mine.
The Roomba is perfect for daily use, but I still use my big vacuum every few days for a good deep clean.
My Shark Professional Lift Away is absolutely amazing. It works great in all of our rugs and has a detachable wood floor head that gently sweet and sucks away dirt. The suction is phenomenal, unless you suck up a marker 🤦🏼♀️. That may clog it- speaking from experience. It’s a great alternative to the more expensive Dyson models.
For quick daily mopping I love this microfiber mop. It comes with two washable pads and works perfectly on my hardwood floors as well as tile. I used to use a wood floor cleaner with it, but it was messy and time consuming. Now, I just spray some Thieves cleaner from Young Living on the floor and mop it up. It works wonders. I use these amber glass bottles to mix up my cleaning solution. They work for Thieves or any other cleaner you may be mixing up.

When my floors need a good deep cleaning, I’d like to say once a month, but that may be a lie. I get out my Shark Steam Mop. It uses just water but I often buy a few drops of lemon essential oil in to make it smell extra clean. I’ve had my steam mop for close to 10 years. I’m telling you, the Shark products are meant to last. I can’t recommend them enough.
