I am a teething whitening junkie. Or should I say, I was one. When I was a teen before I even knew I loved the taste of coffee or wine or any of those wonderfully horrible teeth staining agents, I was whitening my teeth with whitening strips. My teeth were so white you may have been blinded by them. Since then, I have actually taken up drinking coffee and have been known to enjoy a glass of red wine or two. What I have not been doing is whitening my teeth. I have thought about it several times, but over the past six and a half years I’ve been either pregnant or nursing 24/7.
Smile Brilliant reached out to me to see if I’d be interested in testing their product, and of course I jumped right on that. I figured they must have seen the twinkle in my eye and the stain on my teeth and just knew I’d be a great partner. Teeth whitening at home, HECK YA! The process was easy and the results were quickly noticeable.
SO HERE’S THE DEAL
I was sent a molding kit in the mail. I was a little nervous at first. I really didn’t want to make a mistake. To be honest though, the directions were very simple to understand and the process was seamless. I made my impressions then sent them back to the company to have my own personal whitening trays made. How professional!
The whitening trays were in my hands before I knew it, so I could get started whitening. The process was easy. The kit contained several syringes of whitening gel as well as desensitising gel. I followed the simple instructions using the whitening gel first and then the desensitising gel. I saw results after the first use. They were a little splotchy, but that evened out after subsequent whitenings. After a few whitening sessions, I was having a little trouble with teeth and gum sensitivity, but the Smile Brilliant support team was amazing and helped me through it with a few tips. I whitened less frequently and used the desensitising gel in between whitening sessions.
After completing the process of whitening, I am happy to announce that my teeth are whiter. That is even without giving up coffee, which is recommended in the directions. But moms, let’s be real. THAT WILL NEVER HAPPEN! So, even through all the coffee sips, the teeth whitening was a success.
