Hey ya’ll! Life is so busy and always changing. BUT we do try to stick to a loose schedule around here! We had a great thing going, but it all had to change now that Boston has started 4k. So let’s chat about how our day has changed and what we are up to.

My sweet school boy! ๐
Before we had to worry about school, our morning started off nice and slow! My kids ate 3 breakfasts (literally), and played all morning long. Well…. those day’s are long gone! At least Monday through Thursday they are!
We are up and at ’em nice and early and try to get a good nutrient dense breakfast in right away. Then we head to brush teeth and get dressed. But always teeth first because… hello… no toothpaste on the school clothes.
I’ve opted to drop off and pick up Boston rather than send him on the bus. It’s a little more work and scheduling, but it’s important to me!
Although our days are never completely perfect, we do try to stick to a scheduled. Kids really do want routine and to know, what’s going to happen next. So here it is, our day in the life!

5:00 Make dinner, kids independent play.
5:45 or 6:00 Eat dinner
6:30-7:00 Baths and PJs
7:00-7:30 Books and a show. Nick does this so I can finish cleaning up the kitchen and preparing for the following day.
7:30 Bedtime
Bedtime can be interesting around here! Nick and I are terrible sleep trainers!! So here’s what it looks like. ๐
I take Boston and Grace to bed, they share a room. Hugs, kisses and snuggles then lights out. But, I stay in the room for a bit until they are sleeping or almost asleep.
During this time, Nick reads with Elliana. They spend some special time together. Then, I lay with her until she falls asleep. It is not optimal, but she is going through a phase where she’s frightened of everything. She sleeps with the light on! ๐
FINALLY by 8:30 or 9:00 I sit down to relax.
Now that sounds like a day! It’s busy, it can be chaotic, but I wouldn’t have it any other way!! Children are a blessing and I am trying to embrace all of the good the bad and the ugly. As my friend Mylee said, think of it as…
“This will be fun!”
