I definitely need a vacation after all the planning and packing that went on the last week! SERIOUSLY! 😳 I’ve shared my infamous packing piles on Instagram all week and now that I’ve stared at them for 7 days and went through them about a million times, they are all tightly packed into our suitcases. I literally had to jam them shut. It wasn’t pretty, but it’s done! And don’t worry they are within the weight restriction. 😉
Now as I finally sit down for the night, the house is quiet. Everyone is sleeping, dreaming of airplanes and trains, my packing anxiety is beginning to lift and my excitement is starting to bubble!!
If you are new to my story, let me fill you in. My mom came from Germany to the States with my dad when she was 17 years old. They were married and had 2 AMAZING kids! 🤪 My brother, Ben and I. We grew up in a small town in Wisconsin but traveled back to Germany every other year to visit family and spend the summer traveling though Europe. Fast forward a few years and here we are!!! Nick and I are braving the high skies and taking the kid overseas. This isn’t our first rodeo though. It will be Boston’s (age almost 5) third trip to Germany! We are staying with my grandparents and meeting up with my brother, who lives in Spain now! I haven’t seen him in two years, so to say I am ecstatic about this trip is an understatement! ❤️ It’s going to be a special trip!
I better get some good rest in before we start our big journey!!
Well, we got a good nights rest, got all of our last minute errands done and we are in the car… we are truly off and I can take a breath! Stay tuned for all the fun!
